Elahe Mehrdad is a music educator, educational director, and the founder of EliMelody.
With more than 15 years of teaching experience and over 11 years of music school leadership, she has helped more than 2,000 students begin and continue their musical journeys.
Elahe holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music. Her primary instruments are violin and viola, and she has also studied and worked with piano throughout her academic training.
Before expanding her work in music schools, she spent several years teaching music to children in educational centers and preschools in Tehran, gaining valuable experience in introducing music through storytelling, games, rhythm training, and note reading.
Professional Background
Throughout her professional career, she has taught at several respected music institutions, including Mohammad Esmaeili Music School, Siavash Zahiroddini Music School, Nikahang Music School, Parsian Music School, Sarin Music School, Dr. Pedram Amini Music School, Avaye Hananeh Music School, and other educational centers in Tehran.
For 11 years, Elahe Mehrdad served as the Educational Director of Mohammad Esmaeili Music School, one of Tehran's respected music institutions. During this period, she had the privilege of working alongside many of Iran's distinguished musicians and educators, including the late Maestro Mohammad Esmaeili, Maestro Nader Mashayekhi, Maestro Mohsen Elhamian, Maestro Majid Esmaeili, Maestro Ali Salehi, and many other accomplished artists, educators, and researchers.
During her leadership, the school hosted numerous educational programs, masterclasses, and special events featuring prominent Iranian and international musicians and educators.
Teaching Philosophy
However, what defines her work today is not simply her résumé or administrative experience.
Her core belief is that music is a personal journey that can be experienced differently by every individual according to their goals, interests, available time, and life circumstances.
In her view, success in music is not determined solely by talent. Consistency, enjoyment, patience, mindful practice, and a genuine interest in learning often play a far greater role in long-term progress.
Just as not everyone who learns a language aims to become a literature professor, and not everyone who exercises aims to become an Olympic athlete, not everyone who studies music seeks the same destination. Each person can pursue music in a way that aligns with their own goals and aspirations.
For some, music is a joyful hobby. For others, it becomes a deeper artistic pursuit. Neither path is superior to the other. What matters is that music becomes a meaningful part of life.
