Why Online Works Exceptionally Well for Adults
Adult learners have one resource that children often lack: the ability to self-direct practice. You don't need someone physically present to hold your attention or remind you to practise. You practice because you want to — and that internal motivation is the most powerful engine for musical progress.
EliMelody's approach leverages this adult advantage through an asynchronous format: you receive your lesson materials, practise in your own time, record a short video or audio of your work, and submit it to Elahe Mehrdad. Within 48 hours, you receive detailed, personal voice and video feedback on exactly what to improve and how.
No scheduled calls. No time zone negotiations. No missed sessions because your schedule changed. You learn on your terms, from wherever you are.
The EliMelody Learning Process, Step by Step
- 1
FREE CONSULTATION
Start with a free WhatsApp conversation. Elahe learns your goals, your schedule, what instrument interests you, and whether you have any prior background. She recommends the program that fits your situation.
- 2
ENROLLMENT & PAYMENT
Choose your program (Guided $99, Advanced $199, or Private Coaching $399). Pay securely via PayPal or bank transfer. 3-month plans available with 15% discount.
- 3
PERSONALIZED FIRST LESSON
Your first lesson arrives as a personalised video and written guide — built specifically for your level and goals. Not a generic curriculum. A real assessment of where you are.
- 4
PRACTICE & RECORD
Practise the exercises or piece Elahe assigned. When you're ready — even if it's not perfect — record a short video or audio of your practice and send it to Elahe via WhatsApp or email.
- 5
PERSONAL FEEDBACK WITHIN 48 HOURS
Elahe watches your recording and sends a detailed personal response — voice message, video, or both — addressing exactly what you should focus on next. Specific, actionable, encouraging.
- 6
NEXT LESSON BASED ON YOUR PROGRESS
Your next lesson is selected according to your actual progress — not a fixed timetable. If you've mastered the last exercise, you move forward. If you need more time, you take it. The pace is always yours.
What You Need to Get Started
AN INSTRUMENT
For piano: a 61-key digital keyboard ($50–150 used) is sufficient. For recorder: instruments cost as little as $15–30. Elahe can advise you before you invest.
A SMARTPHONE OR TABLET
To record your practice sessions. No professional equipment needed — the built-in camera on any modern smartphone is perfectly sufficient.
15–20 MINUTES DAILY
That's all. Consistent short sessions produce better results than occasional long ones. EliMelody is designed to fit into a real adult life.
WhatsApp is the primary communication channel. Elahe is available for questions between lessons, and the recording submission process is simple and intuitive.
Students From Every Time Zone
Because EliMelody uses an asynchronous format, students from Toronto, Vancouver, New York, London, Stockholm, Berlin, Amsterdam, Zurich, Dubai, Yerevan, Sydney, and many other cities learn on the same platform with no scheduling conflicts.
A student in Toronto practises at 7am. A student in Dubai practises after dinner. A student in Yerevan practises on weekends. Elahe receives their recordings and responds within 48 hours — wherever everyone is.
